Renee Rosnes and Bill Charlap, two of the premiere pianists in jazz, have joined forces to traverse the many musical touchstones of the couple’s respective careers. The result may be considered one of the most iconic piano duos in the jazz world today.
Grammy Award winning pianist, Bill Charlap has performed with many leading artists of our time, ranging from Phil Woods and Tony Bennett to Gerry Mulligan and Wynton Marsalis. He is known for his interpretations of American popular songs and has recorded albums featuring the music of Hoagy Carmichael, Leonard Bernstein and George Gershwin. Bill is artistic director of New York City’s Jazz in July Festival and has produced concerts for Jazz at Lincoln Center at the Hollywood Bowl. READ MORE
Renee Rosnes is one of the premier jazz pianists and composers of her generation. Upon moving to New York City from Vancouver, Canada, she quickly established a reputation of high regard, touring and recording with such masters as Joe Henderson, Wayne Shorter, Bobby Hutcherson, J.J. Johnson, James Moody, and legendary bassist Ron Carter. She was a charter member of the all-star ensemble, the SFJAZZ Collective, and along with leading her own quartet, is a member of Artemis, a collaborative group of international jazz artists. READ MORE
